However, prior to making an assignment sheet in the form of symbol games, make sure to introduce the different symbols you are going to use beforehand. Or, you can simply use shapes!
We have a triangle, a rectangle, a square, and a circle. These are the four basic shapes kindergarten students are familiar with. Assign a number to each shape, such as a triangle is 2, the rectangle is 3, the square is 4 and the circle is 5.
Questions:
- What shape do we get if we add 2 triangles?
- What shape will a circle become if we subtract a rectangle from it?
- Do we get an odd number by adding a rectangle and a square?
Answers:
- By adding two triangles, we get 4, which is a square.
- If we subtract a rectangle from a circle, we get 2, which is a triangle.
- By adding a rectangle and a square, we get 7. Seven is an odd number.
With these simple examples, you can also make your own set of questions and even increase the number of puzzles by introducing more symbols, such as a star sign, or a hexagonal symbol assigning a unique number to each.
